The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution
The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution is a gentle exfoliating toner formulated to improve skin texture, brighten dull skin, and promote a more even-looking complexion. Powered by 7% glycolic acid, an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA), this toner helps remove dead skin cells from the skin's surface, leaving it smoother, softer, and more radiant with regular use.
The formula is enriched with Tasmanian Pepperberry, known for its soothing properties, as well as ginseng root extract and aloe vera, which help calm, hydrate, and refresh the skin while minimising irritation. Regular use helps reduce the appearance of uneven skin tone, rough texture, fine lines, and post-blemish marks, revealing healthier-looking skin.
Suitable for most skin types, this toner is ideal for those looking to achieve a brighter complexion and smoother skin through gentle chemical exfoliation. It can also be used on areas of the body prone to roughness, such as elbows, knees, and underarms.

- Ginseng Root Extract – Helps revitalise and refresh the skin
- Aloe Vera – Helps calm and hydrate the skin
How to Use
- Use in the evening, ideally no more than once a day.
- After cleansing, saturate a cotton pad with the toner and gently sweep over the face and neck, avoiding the eye area.
- Do not rinse off. Follow with your favourite serum and moisturiser.
- Always apply a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher during the day, as glycolic acid increases the skin's sensitivity to sunlight.
- Do not use on irritated, peeling, or broken skin. Avoid combining in the same routine with other exfoliating acids, retinoids, or pure/high-strength vitamin C.
Patch test before first use. If irritation occurs, reduce the frequency of use or discontinue if necessary.
